Fürth (dpa / lby) - The number of building permits in Bavaria skyrocketed in the first quarter.
It increased by 25.8 percent to 20,134, as the State Office for Statistics announced on Thursday in Fürth.
The strongest increases with 80.9 and 43.2 percent were recorded in Central Franconia and Lower Bavaria, with the highest number of building permits (7918) in Upper Bavaria.
The increase is due in particular to an increase in permits for single and two-family houses.
