It shows the latest regional situation from the County Administrative Board of Östergötland.

In recent weeks, several preschools and schools in Östergötland have been forced to close or switch their activities to distance education due to the spread of infection.

In Linköping, for example, units within compulsory school have around 30 per cent sick leave among staff.

Guardians do not follow the recommendations

In Norrköping municipality, the situation shows that there are problems with guardians who do not follow the recommendations.

In Motala municipality, too, compliance with the recommendations among guardians within the preschool is decreasing.

- It is important that all students receive the education to which they are entitled, but at the same time the schools state that students have difficulty keeping their distance, which creates a completely understandable concern among staff about becoming infected. Guardians must exercise great caution and ensure that children who are ill or have symptoms stay at home and do not return to school until they are completely healthy, says Carl Fredrik Graf, governor of Östergötland in a comment in a press release from the supervisory authority.
