Sonneberg (dpa / th) - A three-year-old child escaped unnoticed from his parents' apartment in Sonneberg and almost triggered a large-scale police operation.
Two girls at the age of 15 prevented the operation because they found the runaway a few streets away from the apartment at the train station on Tuesday afternoon and brought him to the police, the authorities announced on Wednesday.
Shortly before, the police had started a manhunt.
The child was handed over to the visibly relieved mother and siblings.
