Heidelberg (dpa) - The building materials group Heidelbergcement is making progress with its share sales.

As part of the realignment of its Greek business, the company will sell its aggregates business in Mandra and two ready-mixed concrete plants in Gerakas and Aspropyrgos to rival Lafargeholcim, Heidelbergcement announced on Wednesday.

The parties agreed not to disclose the sales price.

The Dax group wants to concentrate on its core business in Greece and continue cement production through its subsidiary Halyps Cement.

For Lafargeholcim, the acquisition is the fifth this year.

More are to follow, the Swiss group announced on Wednesday.

Heidelbergcement wants to concentrate on the strongest markets - and sell parts of the business that do not meet the return expectations in the medium term.

At the beginning of the year, the company launched its Kuwait business.
