It was just before midnight that two train drivers heard a bang at the height of Bergsbrunna, when they were driving in the direction of Uppsala.

- They suspected shooting at first, before they knew what they had been shot at, says police spokesman Magnus Jansson Klarin.

Several police patrols were called to the scene.

- When you went through the trains later at the travel center, you could see that they had been hit by rocks.

Among other things, scratches were found on a locomotive.

Train traffic was stopped for a while when it turned out that signaling equipment at the site had also been hit by rocks.

No suspects

At present, no one is suspected of the crime.

A report of sabotage against the railway has been made.

- It is worrying with this type of crime, says Magnus Jansson Klarin.

He also says that in connection with this it was a bus driver who had heard bangs in Bergsbrunna and seen cars leaving the place at high speed.

- But that incident could not be linked to the damage to the trains, he says.
