The Colombian Ombudsman's office registered appeals related to the alleged disappearances of people during the protest.

“At least 35 of them have gone missing in the epicenter of the protests, the city of Cali, and in neighboring Palmyra, which also recorded the highest number of deaths during the riots,” the newspaper said.

In addition, there were reports of missing persons in Bogota, Barranquilla, Medellin, as well as in the Quindio department.

Earlier it became known about 17 people killed during protests against tax reform, which took place in Colombia in recent days.

840 people were injured.

The cause of the unrest was the indignation of citizens about the new tax reform, according to which taxes were significantly increased.

Later, after massive protests, the President of Colombia agreed to change the tax reform, but the protests continue to this day.
