Wuppertal (dpa / lnw) - Two serious accidents on Autobahn 1 near Wuppertal caused severe traffic obstructions on Wednesday morning in rush hour traffic.
In the direction of Cologne, the motorway is expected to be completely blocked until noon, in the opposite direction to Dortmund the blockage has already been partially lifted, the police said in the morning.
The accidents also occurred due to the weather in sleet showers, said a spokesman.
In some cases, motorway entrances are also blocked.
There was initially no information about the accidents, police recording teams were on duty.
