Bremerhaven (dpa / lni) - Bremerhaven's Lord Mayor Melf Grantz (SPD) considers easing decisions from a seven-day incidence of less than 100, as in Lower Saxony, to make sense in the state of Bremen.

He called for parallel decisions by the Senate on Tuesday.

"Our incidence numbers are still over 100, but with a downward trend," said the Social Democrat on Tuesday.

But it is important to get in the right mood for opening perspectives already now.

"In this situation, we also have to relax so that the retail trade, restaurants, hotels, cultural institutions and tourist attractions in Bremerhaven can get an economic perspective again," said Grantz.

Lower Saxony wants to start easing with a step-by-step plan from next Monday (May 10th).

In counties and large cities with a stable seven-day incidence below 100, trade, gastronomy, tourism and outdoor cultural events are to start again.

The prerequisite is a daily negative corona rapid test or proof of a complete vaccination against the corona virus.
