Munich (dpa / lby) - TSV 1860 Munich has advanced into the promotion zone of the 3rd division and is getting closer and closer to the 2nd Bundesliga.

The “Löwen” beat 1. FC Kaiserslautern deservedly 3-0 (1-0) on Tuesday evening and ousted FC Ingolstadt from third place.

At the same time, the Ingolstadt team won 1: 1 (0: 0) in the top game at second in the table Hansa Rostock, but they also have good chances of returning to second division.

There are two points between table leaders Dynamo Dresden (66 points), Rostock (66), 1860 (64) and FCI (64) with three game days to go.

Out of this quartet, the sixties currently have the strongest form.

The never-endangered success in the traditional duel against FCK was the ninth unbeaten league game in a row - during this period, coach Michael Köllner's team scored 23 points as a bear.

Before the game against Lautern, guest coach Marco Antwerp provoked with the statement that he saw his team - which is playing against relegation - at eye level with the "lions".

Köllner wanted an answer on the pitch and got it: Richard Neudecker ensured the well-deserved lead in a one-sided first half (31st minute).

In round two, Philipp Steinhart managed a double (52nd / 69th), first with a penalty kick and then with a deflected shot.

FC Ingolstadt, which had recently been a little weak, was clearly superior in Rostock and after the break, Dennis Eckert Ayensa deserved to take the lead (57th).

Shortly afterwards, captain Stefan Kutschke missed a huge chance to make it 2-0;

instead, John Verhoek equalized (69th).

Ingolstadt then pushed for the winning goal, but had to come to terms with the draw.
