Cologne (dpa) - The "Lindenstrasse" actor Willi Herren, who died at the age of 45, will be buried in Cologne on Wednesday (11 a.m.).

A ceremony is planned that underscores Herren's connection to his hometown - for example by using the colors red and white, which can also be found in the Cologne city arms.

Gentlemen should be buried in the Melatenfriedhof in Cologne.

The comedian Dirk Bach and the Cologne folk actor Willy Millowitsch also rest there.

Herren's family has let it be known that the dead actor will be buried in a small circle.

Because of the corona pandemic, only 30 people are allowed.

But if you want to say goodbye, you can leave a last greeting in a digital condolence page on the Internet.

Herren was found dead in his apartment in Cologne on April 20.

An autopsy did not reveal any evidence of external violence.

The actor was known from the ARD series “Lindenstrasse” and from various reality formats, in which he gave deep insights into his life, which was not always scandal-free.

He also sang party hits.
