Bremen (AP) - According to Werder Bremen's defender Milos Veljkovic, the discussions about the future of coach Florian Kohfeldt do not play a major role for him and the team in the relegation battle.

"Personal details are not important now, but the club is important," said the 25-year-old Serb on Tuesday in a media panel.

"The important thing is that we give 100 percent on the pitch."

Kohfeldt was criticized in the Bremen crisis with seven Bundesliga defeats in a row.

However, sports director Frank Baumann had expressed his confidence in the 38-year-old after the narrow elimination in the semi-finals of the DFB Cup against RB Leipzig on Friday.

Werder is currently in 14th place in the table and only one point ahead of the relegation place.

Hertha BSC in 17th place has three points less than the North Germans, but still has two catch-up games.

Veljkovic was last affected by a broken nose and played with a protective mask.

"My field of vision is not ideal, but I've got used to it now and that's why it fits," he said.

Veljkovic assumes that he will have to wear the mask on the remaining three game days of the Bundesliga season.
