Essen (dpa / lnw) - Just in time for Mother's Day weekend, it could be significantly warmer in North Rhine-Westphalia.

For Friday, the German Weather Service still expects a maximum of fresh 14 degrees.

On Saturday it could be up to 20 degrees west of the Rhine, reported DWD meteorologist Yvonne Engemann on Tuesday.

In the direction of East Westphalia, up to 18 degrees can still be expected.

On Sunday, which many people celebrate as Mother's Day, 25 degrees could be reached in the Rhineland with changing clouds, in the Münsterland up to 24 degrees - as of Tuesday.

"It looks pretty good," said Engemann.

It could be "very pleasant" everywhere.
