Tokyo (dpa) - The Berlin water jumpers Elena and Christina Wassen have secured two more starting places for the German team for the Olympic Games in Tokyo.

Elena Wassen moved into the semi-finals of the competition from ten meters in ninth place on Tuesday at the World Cup in Japan, her sister Christina in 13th.

So they got the quota places eight and nine for the German Swimming Association.

German jumpers will take part in the summer games in all four individual disciplines.

In the men's high diving, Timo Barthel took fourth place as the best German.

The 25-year-old and the only 16-year-old Jaden Eikermann had already won two quota places the day before.

It has not yet been decided who will take the quota positions.

This is to be decided at the German championships, which will take place in Berlin from June 1st to 6th as part of the 2021 finals.
