Stuttgart (dpa / lsw) - The corona pandemic brings the planning of the great terror process against the alleged right-wing extremist "Group S."

a mess in Stuttgart.

For the second time, the hearing of the Higher Regional Court on the grounds of the correctional facility (JVA) in Stammheim has been canceled because prisoners have become infected.

According to the Ministry of Justice on Tuesday, two inmates and two employees of the Schwäbisch-Gmünd JVA tested positive in PCR or rapid tests.

Since they also had contact with others, the health department classified the infection process as “not manageable”.

The two trial dates on Tuesday (today) and Wednesday (tomorrow) have been canceled.

Negotiations will start again on May 11th (9:00 a.m.) at the earliest.

At least one of the twelve men accused in Stuttgart is in prison in Schwäbisch-Gmünd.

Previously, in mid-April, several corona cases in the Stuttgart JVA had paralyzed the judicial system in places and canceled trial dates.

A total of eleven alleged members and one alleged supporter of the right-wing terrorist organization "Gruppe S." are on trial.

Named after their alleged ringleader Werner S., who comes from the Augsburg area, the group is said to have hoarded weapons and planned attacks.

According to the prosecution, the men wanted to raid mosques and kill Muslims in order to create "conditions similar to civil war".

Of the twelve accused, eleven are in custody, one is at large.

The defendants were arrested on February 14, 2020.

The state security procedure is a mammoth process with dozens of participants, negotiations are blocked until mid-2022.
