Wiehl (dpa / lnw) - The car of a 23-year-old driver from Wiehl was hit by a blown tree on a country road in the Oberbergisches Kreis on Tuesday morning in a storm.
The trapped man had to be freed by the fire department.
He was injured in the hospital, as the district police reported.
The tree had hit the front of the car on the bonnet.
The windshield was also damaged.
Another driver watched the tree fall on the car and called 911.
