We propose to establish high taxes on luxury, ”said party chairman Sergei Mironov.
According to him, due to this, trillions of rubles will come to the country's budget annually, which should be directed to the fight against poverty.
The politician cited data according to which in 2020 Moscow bought elite housing worth 122 billion rubles, and in the first quarter of 2021 - 50 billion rubles. He believes that "the owners of such expensive apartments are simply obliged to pay increased taxes."
Mironov considers it important that organizations, individual entrepreneurs and individuals pay this tax.
At the same time, it is proposed not to extend it to agricultural land, construction and agricultural machinery, ships and aircraft, real estate used by organizations and individual entrepreneurs for the main type of activity.
In February, the list of vehicles subject to the "luxury tax" was updated.
