Kassel (dpa / lhe) - A man was seriously injured in a street robbery in the middle of Kassel.
The 45-year-old was taken to a hospital after the attack, the police said on Tuesday.
A group allegedly consisting of eight to ten people attacked him on Monday evening and hit him in the face, then the hitherto unknown perpetrators stole his wallet and fled.
A passerby became aware of the seriously injured man in the face and called the rescue workers.
Initially, there was no trace of the perpetrators.
