Ludwigshafen (dpa / lrs) - A man is said to have attacked his ex-girlfriend's new partner with a knife in Ludwigshafen.
The 49-year-old victim was seriously injured in the chest area and had to be operated on in the hospital, the police and prosecutors announced on Tuesday.
The 47-year-old alleged attacker was arrested shortly after the crime on Sunday.
He is now in custody for attempted manslaughter and dangerous bodily harm.
The woman was reportedly a witness.
