Xinhua News Agency, Cairo, May 4 (Reporter Li Binian) The Egyptian military issued a statement on the 4th that the Egyptian military recently signed an agreement with the French aircraft manufacturer Dassault. Egypt will purchase 30 Rafale fighters from this company.
The statement said that the purchase funds came from a French loan with a ten-year period.
The statement did not disclose the specific amount and other details.
France is one of Egypt's main sources of arms purchases.
In February 2015, Egypt signed an agreement with France to purchase 24 Rafale fighter jets and a multi-purpose frigate from France.
