Russia positively assessed the possibility of organizing a personal meeting between Vladimir Putin and US President Joe Biden, noting that Washington should refuse to put forward any conditions.

Earlier, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said that Washington is not looking for escalation and would prefer a more stable and predictable relationship with Moscow.

However, he noted that the Biden administration intends to take action "if Russia decides to act thoughtlessly or aggressively."

Thus, he spoke about the prospect of a meeting of the leaders of the two countries during a press conference with British Foreign Minister Dominic Raab.

“We are not looking for escalation.

We would have preferred a more stable, more predictable relationship.

And if Russia moves in this direction, then we will, and I believe that President Biden will have the opportunity to directly discuss this issue in a personal meeting with President Putin, ”Blinken said.
