Hamburg (dpa / lno) - A 33-year-old who has sold seriously ill puppies over the Internet has to go to prison for three years.
The Hamburg-St.
Georg convicted the man, who already has several criminal records, on Monday for commercial fraud and violation of the Animal Welfare Act.
In addition, 2950 euros will be collected that he had earned from selling the animals.
The court considered it proven that the man had offered five puppies for sale on the Ebay internet platform for 400 to 1000 euros between March and June 2020.
The defendant did not tell the new owners what a bad condition the puppies were in because they were separated from their mother too early.
