An "unprecedented" initiative for a "serious" subject which invites us to go beyond the "postures": the president of Medef, Geoffroy Roux de Bézieux, and the secretary general of the CFDT, Laurent Berger, together called on Monday to accelerate vaccination via occupational health services.

"We want to see vaccination in occupational health services very strongly accelerated", while they "are ready to ramp up", declared Mr. Roux de Bézieux during a press conference at the Inter-company Medical Center Europe (CMIE), in Paris.

Mr. Roux de Bézieux considered "disappointing" the figures unveiled a week ago by the Ministry of Labor, with just over 400,000 injections carried out by occupational physicians and 43,000 by occupational health services.

He listed several "brakes", including the lack of available vaccines and the still small number of eligible employees.

CMIE president Claudine Sulitzer stressed that each doctor at the center was only entitled to one vial of ten doses of AstraZeneca vaccine per week, and had to request it individually, while vaccinodromes can have "group deliveries" .

Referring to "silos of the French administration", Mr. Roux de Bézieux estimated that "this reluctance should jump to the benefit of all".

Ms. Sulitzer also noted that of the 380,000 employees monitored by her center, only 9,300 could initially be vaccinated (over 55s with comorbidities), and now 60,000 (over 55s), which remains a "vaccine target. "relatively small according to her.

Laurent Berger underlined that according to a survey carried out for the CFDT by the Kantar institute, and published last week, 85% of employees say they are in favor of setting up a vaccination system for employees who wish to do so on their premises. of work.

"For a certain number of exposed employees such as those in cleaning, we are calling for the vaccination to go faster. Part of the solution is vaccination during work time," he said.

To reach "nomadic workers" in cleaning or security, Mr. Roux de Bézieux mentioned the idea of itinerant "vaccibus".

The two men called for a "maximum of employees", and "in particular those who are exposed to a lot of social interactions", can be vaccinated quickly, saying they are opposed to the principle of a list of priority professions, as implemented by the Ministry of Labor.
