Iraqi security officials said that at least 3 rockets landed at Balad Air Force Base north of the capital, which is hosting American contractors, less than 24 hours after a two-missile attack targeted Baghdad International Airport.

There were no reports yet of injuries, and no group has claimed responsibility for the attack so far.

And security officials said that at least two rockets landed in the vicinity of Baghdad International Airport on Sunday.

Reuters reported that the two rockets were fired from an area close to the airport, and there were no reports of casualties or damage.

Armed groups, which some Iraqi officials say are backed by Iran, have previously claimed responsibility for similar incidents.
