Holzgerlingen (dpa) - Offer pond, look for new love: The city of Holzgerlingen near Stuttgart is looking for a partner for its swan Hansel Jr.
A job advertisement was published on the Internet for this purpose.
Among other things, "cozy accommodation with a pool and spacious castle garden" is offered.
The background: The four-year-old swan, who is swimming in the lake at Kalteneck Castle, has been alone for some time.
"He seems lonely," said chief officer Jan Stäbler on Monday.
"That's why we spontaneously decided to place the ad."
First the "Bild" newspaper reported on it.
"The action is of course connected with a wink," said Stäbler.
First and foremost, they wanted to offer the citizens of the community in the Böblingen district something to laugh about.
And that was well received: "There have also been inquiries as to whether it is a civil servant position."
On the night of May 1st, strangers also put an inflatable swan into the lake - until Hansel Jr. found a “swan (m / f / i)” to turtle and grumble together, as the ad says.
