Mainz (dpa) - Hertha BSC has secured an important point in the relegation battle of the Bundesliga after the corona-related break.
The Berliners achieved a 1-1 (1: 1) at FSV Mainz 05 in the first of three catch-up games.
While Mainz came one step closer to the rescue with 35 points, Hertha BSC remains in penultimate place with 27 points.
The catch-up game against SC Freiburg will follow in Berlin on May 6th.
In Mainz, Lucas Tousart gave Hertha the lead in the 36th minute, which Phillipp Mwene equalized just four minutes later.
