After two weeks of distance learning, middle and high schools have once again been welcoming face-to-face students since Monday.

A resumption of half-gauge courses for high school and college students in fourth and third of the 15 departments where Covid-19 is circulating strongly, as in this Parisian college where Europe 1 went.

REPORTAGE

College and high school students have made their comeback.

A hybrid comeback, but a comeback all the same, after a month at home.

A week after the schoolchildren, the secondary school students are back in person, in half-gauge.

For them, it is already "better than nothing", they say.

"Seriously resume the program"

When you leave the Parisian college where Europe 1 went, you are very far from the usual atmosphere, with a lot of calm and very little heckling.

For good reason: only some of the students made their return to school this morning.

Despite everything, Marion, a college student, is delighted to find her friends.

"I like working at home, but at the same time I wanted to see my friends again," she says at the microphone of Europe 1. "And even if we came in a group now, that's when even beyond the pleasure of seeing each other again in the flesh. It is also the moment to take the program seriously ", also explains Baptiste, a third year student.

"We have the certificate at the end of the year. In some subjects we know that we will finish the program, but for some, we do not know and we are happy to come back to revise."

"Tailor-made" timetables

To allow the return of fourth and third in half-gauge, the principal of the college had to reorganize all the schedules almost to measure.

"We divided the week so that all the students had lessons every other day, or two days / a day," she explains.

"It required us to put together schedules for almost each student. They need to be able to work serenely as before."

And to minimize the risk of transmission of Covid-19 (and therefore avoid class closures), the management also encourages students who can to have lunch at home.
