Berlin (dpa / bb) - 742 new infections with the corona virus were registered in Berlin between Wednesday and Thursday.

No further deaths were initially reported, according to the current situation report from the Senate Administration.

The day before, the number of new infections was more than 1000. The incidence value also fell over the same period.

It describes how many people per 100,000 inhabitants have become infected with the virus in the past seven days.

On Thursday it was 130.2 in Berlin.

On Wednesday it was 134.0.

Since the law on nationwide corona restrictions, the value has been based on figures from the Robert Koch Institute.

The number of people infected in Berlin since the beginning of the pandemic in the previous year was given as 167 843, of which 154 101 people are considered recovered.

3210 people have died so far in connection with Corona.

The load on the Berlin intensive care units remains high: At 25.9 percent, more than a quarter of the intensive care beds are occupied by Covid-19 patients.
