Cologne (dpa / lnw) - A 74-year-old driver was seriously injured in a collision with a tram in Cologne.
The man was initially trapped in his car and had to be freed by the rescue workers.
He was taken to a hospital, the police said.
The 34-year-old passenger suffered minor injuries.
According to initial investigations, the 74-year-old turned his car over the tracks on Thursday despite the red light and was caught there by the tram at the driver's door.
