Thirty miles north of Karlskrona, next to Lake Sillhövden, is the small community Holmsjö, whose urban area is home to just under 400 people.

- Holmsjö village has a nice community.

If something happens here, we go together and work together, says Carina Gneupel, Holmsjöbo for 30 years.

And something that has united the residents recently is what happened to Pelle Johansson.

- Everyone is completely desperate that someone could have done this.

You do not fool our Pelle.

It's just so.

Planning collection

Kent-Åke Alriksson got to know Pelle Johansson when they were both ten years old, and their friends have been connected ever since.

He says that it has been tough to see how recent events have affected his friend.

- Pelle is not his usual happy self.

It's awful to see him like that.

I hope we can sort out this situation - either with legal help or by raising money, he says.

The anger and frustration is great in the small community Holmsjö north of Karlskrona after what happened to Pelle Johansson.

And there are plans for a fundraiser among the young people in Holmsjö, according to Carina Gneupel.

- My son and his friends are reviewing the possibility of starting a swish collection.

We may not be able to get all the money Pelle got rid of, but it could help a bit along the way, she says.

At present, there is no suspicion of crime in connection with the many loans.

However, separate investigations are underway into vandalism and harassment.
