Niestetal (dpa / lhe) - A 90-year-old woman was jumped on by a dog while walking and sustained serious injuries in a fall.
According to the police in Kassel, the senior citizen was on a path in Niestetal (Kassel district) on Thursday on Sunday.
She is said to have found together with her husband and other relatives on a sidewalk when the supposedly abandoned dog came up to them.
The animal jumped on the 90-year-old, causing her to fall.
She was admitted to a clinic with a fractured pelvis and injuries to her head and arm.
Later, according to the information, a woman came by with a dog leash and said she was looking for her four-legged friend.
When the victim's husband told the woman about the incident and asked for personal details, the woman refused and ran away.
The police are now investigating negligent bodily harm and are looking for witnesses.
