Schwerin (dpa / mv) - The Mecklenburg-Schwerin employers' association has spoken out in favor of easing restrictions on those who have been vaccinated and those who have recovered from Covid-19.

"We advocate pragmatism," said managing director Pamela Buggenhagen on Wednesday in Schwerin.

The opening of closed areas is a lifeline for the companies concerned and a ray of hope for the people.

Buggenhagen also called for the digital proof of vaccination.

Prime Minister Manuela Schwesig (SPD) announced on Tuesday that she would make it easier for fully vaccinated people as early as next Saturday (May 1st) and that she wanted to equate them with people who tested negative. She has therefore called a special session of the cabinet for Friday. "We want people who have already received a second vaccination, for example at the hairdresser's or in the outdoor areas of the zoo, no longer have to submit a negative test," she said on Wednesday. The prerequisite is that the second vaccination was at least 14 days ago and the vaccine administered is approved in the EU.

Schwesig referred to the corresponding regulations in Bavaria, Hesse and Rhineland-Palatinate.

"Why shouldn't this also be possible in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania?"

In all regulations of the state ordinance, which provide for a test obligation for the perception of offers or the use of facilities, this obligation should be omitted for completely vaccinated persons.
