The Saudi Crown Prince discussed the most prominent achievements of the Kingdom's Vision 2030 programs and projects over the past five years, in an interview broadcast on state television and the most important Arab television networks.

The Saudi Crown Prince affirmed that oil served the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in a very large way, indicating that the Kingdom was an existing state before oil.

He added that with the passage of time the volume of oil production increased very slightly, but the size of the population growth increased enormously from one million two million three million to 20 million Saudi citizens, so oil covered the needs and the way of life that we have become accustomed to from the sixties and seventies.

"If the same situation continues with the growth of the population, after 20 years or 10 years, this will affect the quality of life that we have lived for 50 years," he said.

Mohammed bin Salman affirmed the Kingdom's desire to maintain the same quality of life and better with the passage of time and to continue to grow.

On the issue of relations with Iran, Mohammed bin Salman presented many positive messages, through which he built bridges to achieve stability and peace in the region, and this depended on Iran changing its negative behavior.

He explained that "Iran is a neighboring country, and all we aspire to is to have a good and distinguished relationship with Iran. We do not want Iran's situation to be difficult, on the contrary."

He added, "We have an interest in Iran's stability, but the problem is in Tehran's negative behavior regarding its nuclear program, its ballistic missile program, and its support for foreign militias."

He indicated that the Kingdom "is working to find solutions to these problems, and for the relationship to be good, strong and beneficial to all."

Regarding the Yemen crisis, Mohammed bin Salman reaffirmed that the peace initiative proposed by the Kingdom is still valid, calling on the Houthis to cease fire and sit at the negotiating table.

He explained that the Yemen crisis is not the first crisis between the Kingdom and Yemen, as it was preceded by several crises, the last of which was when the Houthi expansion in 2014 until it reached Sana'a in 2015, which he described as "illegal in Yemen or any other country."

He added, "There is no country in the world that accepts the presence of a militia on its borders. This is unacceptable to Saudi Arabia, and unacceptable to the countries of the region, and it is also unacceptable to the legitimacy of Yemen."

He continued, "We hope that Al-Houthi will sit at the negotiating table with all the Yemeni poles to reach solutions that guarantee the rights of everyone in Yemen and guarantee the interests of the countries of the region."

On the relationship of the Houthi group with Iran, the Saudi crown prince said: "I think that Al-Houthi has a strong relationship with the Iranian regime, but the Houthi is in the end Yemeni and has an Arabist tendency. I hope he takes into account his interests and the interests of his homeland before anything else."

On the security front, Mohammed bin Salman said that his country has been a main target of extremist and terrorist projects over the past years.

He indicated that the Kingdom's success in eradicating extremist ideology has contributed to achieving development in the Kingdom, attracting investments, and demonstrating the principles of tolerant religion, and these extremists do not represent our true religion.

The kingdom is in talks to sell 1% of Aramco to a foreign investor

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman said, in comments broadcast on television, the day before yesterday, that the Kingdom is in discussions to sell a 1% stake in the state-owned oil company, Saudi Aramco, to a global energy company.

Prince Mohammed added that Aramco, the world's largest oil company that was listed on the Saudi Stock Exchange in 2019, may sell more shares to international investors within the next year or two.

He said, without elaborating, that talks are underway to acquire a 1% stake by a leading global energy company in an important agreement that will boost Aramco's sales in a major country.

In an interview broadcast on Saudi television on the occasion of the anniversary of Vision 2030, he added that talks are taking place with other countries for different shares, and that part of Aramco's shares may be transferred to the Saudi Public Investment Fund, and a part will be listed on the Saudi Stock Exchange.
