Tauberbischofsheim (dpa / lsw) - A misunderstanding between motorists in the Main-Tauber district apparently led to an accident with an ambulance.
As the police announced on Wednesday, the ambulance was on the road with blue lights on the federal road 27 near Tauberbischofsheim.
When the car approached with a heavily pregnant woman on board, a driver braked his vehicle and pulled over to the side of the road.
A driver following him directly with his car did not notice the ambulance despite the blue light.
Therefore, he drove past the car, which has now stopped, without giving the emergency vehicle space.
As a result, the 21-year-old driver of the ambulance collided with this car.
His driver was injured.
Like the heavily pregnant woman, he was brought to a clinic by emergency services on board the ambulance.
The accident resulted in damage of around 13,000 euros, it is said.
