Saarbrücken (dpa / lrs) - The employment agency today presents the labor market data for April in Rhineland-Palatinate.

In March, unemployment in the state fell slightly, as is usual for the season.

According to the employment agency, 122,600 people were unemployed in March, 3,200 or 2.5 percent fewer than in February.

Compared to the same month last year, there were 20,000 more unemployed.

That corresponded to an increase of 19.5 percent.

The unemployment rate was 5.4 percent.

The deadline for collecting the new figures was April 13th.
