Duisburg (dpa / lnw) - Because of the suspicion of 95-fold child abuse, a 49-year-old has had to answer to court in Duisburg since Wednesday.

Between 2007 and 2020, the defendant is said to have repeatedly abused five boys whom he met at youth camps.

According to the indictment, he filmed almost all of the crimes.

At the start of the trial, the 49-year-old from Duisburg has not yet commented on the allegations.

That should only happen at a later point in time.

According to the indictment, the sexual assault took place on the man's private vacation trips to which he is said to have invited the children.

According to the public prosecutor's office, the crime scenes are located in the Netherlands, Austria, France and Denmark, among others.

One of the alleged victims is said to be a godchild of the defendant.

The 49-year-old is said to have worked for a travel company that is also said to have offered trips to children and young people.

He has been in custody since the end of August 2020.

In the investigation, in addition to the apartment, a mobile home of the suspect in the Duisburg district of Wanheimerort and his workplace at the state sports association were searched, it was said in September 2020.

The Duisburg regional court has initially set aside three days for the trial until June 14th.
