Eleven days after her Covid-19 vaccination with the AstraZeneca vaccine, a 32-year-old psychotherapist died in March - of a cerebral haemorrhage.

Now it is clear to the authorities: Dana Ottmann actually died in connection with the vaccination.

As the Herford district, in which the young woman lived, announced to WELT on Wednesday afternoon, this emerged from a final report by the Institute for Forensic Medicine in Münster.

"The results of the Institute for Immunology and Transfusion Medicine at the University of Greifswald show that an immune reaction to the AstraZeneca vaccine led to the death of the woman," the letter says.

And further: "The cause of death was therefore a coagulation disorder with bleeding into the brain."

After Ottmann's death, the Paul Ehrlich Institute was informed;

the Bielefeld public prosecutor had arranged for an autopsy.

WELT AM SONNTAG reported on April 4 about the case and the possible background.

At this point it was not yet finally clear whether the vaccination had triggered the cerebral haemorrhage.

In the past few weeks, there were also isolated reports of cerebral hemorrhages occurring shortly after the vaccination in other EU countries - for example in Spain and Luxembourg; however, a causal relationship has not yet been confirmed.
