Nuremberg (dpa / lby) - The regional directorate of the Federal Employment Agency today presents the Bavarian unemployment figures for April.

The labor market had recently proven to be surprisingly stable.

The leading indicators are predicting an upturn despite the longer than expected lockdown.

In March unemployment in Bavaria fell slightly compared to February for seasonal reasons.

This means that 298 765 people were unemployed in Bavaria in March.

That was 17,867 fewer than in February, but 67,650 more than in the same month of the previous year.

The deadline for collecting the current figures was April 13th.
