“Senators from both parties said they generally endorse the idea of holding a summit between President Biden and Russian leader Vladimir Putin,” the statement said.
As specified, the senators "oppose any reset of relations between Washington and Moscow."
On April 13, a telephone conversation took place between the leaders of the United States and Russia, during which Biden invited Putin to meet in a third country.
The Kremlin clarified that the possibility of this meeting will be discussed through diplomatic channels.
