In the Central African Republic, after his controversial re-election last December, President Faustin-Archange Touadéra receives political actors and those from civil society.

The opening of this dialogue had been demanded for a long time by the opposition parties, but the main platform, the COD 2020, decided not to go there.

She described the organization of this dialogue as incoherent and sent a letter of complaints to the presidency.

In this letter, we told the president that we had, before the elections, requested the convening of a concertation of the vital forces of the nation to avoid a post-election crisis.

He opposed us with an end of inadmissibility, because that suited him to arrive at his electoral hold-up.

Now he is convening a so-called Republican dialogue that does not fulfill the conditions necessary to lead to lasting peace on reconciliation.

He only called this republican dialogue to respond to pressure from the international community.

But in reality, he doesn't want any dialogue at all.

For us, this dialogue must first be inclusive.
