April 28, 2021 The Ministry of Health reported 3,293 new coronavirus deaths in the past 24 hours, with the total death toll in

India

reaching 201,187. Also reported 362,757 new positives, a new global record, which has brought the total to over 17.9 million since the start of the pandemic. The previous record was 350,000 and dates back to Monday. India, the second most populous country in the world with nearly 1.4 billion inhabitants, is the fourth to exceed 200,000 deaths, behind the United States, Brazil and Mexico. And, as in many nations, experts believe that there are serious underestimates compared to the real number of infections and victims for Covid.

where 201 deaths have been recorded in the last 24 hours, bringing the total toll to 17,530. The previous record was 157 victims, recorded on 24 April. According to data released by the Ministry of Health, there are 5,292 new coronavirus cases in the country. At least 5,214 people are hospitalized in intensive care.
