Already sentenced in 2006 to two years in prison and five years of prohibition from exercising his profession for sexual assault on patients, a chiropodist has just been imprisoned in Saint-Etienne.

The 63-year-old man was indicted following, again, complaints of sexual assault by two of his patients last November, the Saint-Etienne prosecutor's office said on Tuesday, confirming information from

Initially, this indictment for "sexual assault by a person having abused the authority conferred on him by his position", had resulted in the placement under judicial supervision of the sixty-year-old.

After an appeal from the prosecution, the investigating chamber of the Lyon Court of Appeal ordered, on April 9, his imprisonment.

The attacks on the two young women, aged 23 and 33, were allegedly committed in November at the practitioner's office, who also allegedly followed one of these two patients to her home.

15 years ago, his conviction had also earned the podiatrist an entry in the automated judicial file of perpetrators of sexual or violent offenses.
