Priesendorf (dpa / lby) - After falling into a pond, a 90-year-old died in Upper Franconia.
As the police announced on Wednesday, the investigators have so far assumed an accident.
According to this, an 81-year-old woman asked a young walker in Priesendorf (Bamberg district) for help on Tuesday because her partner slipped down a slope and fell into the pond.
The alarmed first aiders could no longer reanimate the 90-year-old on site.
According to the police, the 81-year-old suffered minor injuries while trying to help her partner.
She was taken to a hospital.
An autopsy should now bring more information about the cause of death of the man.
