- Countries that have had other priorities are very happy to receive the Astra Zeneca vaccine, but in Sweden it is primarily Moderna and Pfizer that will be delivered in the future.

We expect more than half a million doses per week during May, June and July.

"Very hopeful"

According to SVT's tour of the country's regions, it is precisely the availability of vaccines that determines when phase 4 of the vaccination work can begin - that is, the large-scale vaccination.

Richard Bergström estimates that before the end of June, everyone over the age of 18 who wants to be vaccinated will have received at least their first dose.

- The second dose depends on the intervals between the doses.

But sometime during the summer, July-August, everyone will be fully vaccinated.

It took a long time to get started, but now I am very hopeful, says Richard Bergström.

The situation in India is worrying

At the same time, he points to dark clouds of unrest in the pandemic sky.

Not least the rampant spread of infection in India, whose large population poses a risk of further virus mutations.

- No one on earth is safe until everyone is safe.

In addition, India is one of the world's largest vaccine manufacturers and can of course not export as much when the spread of infection in its own country is so great.

So it has global consequences.
