Stuttgart (dpa / lsw) - After successful coalition negotiations, the Greens and CDU want to push their announced immediate climate protection program with a volume of at least 200 million euros this year.

It is planned to implement or initiate projects “by the end of 2021”, it said on Tuesday from the Climate and Environment working group.

The "Südwest Presse" reported about it first.

According to this, it is planned, among other things, despite the dispute about the minimum distance by 2026, a total of 1000 new wind turbines on land and in the state forest.

In addition, by the end of 2022 it will be legally stipulated that at least two percent of the country's area will be reserved for wind turbines and photovoltaics.

According to reports, the planned solar obligation for new residential buildings is also to be incorporated into a law by the end of next year.

The Greens and CDU had already mentioned the emergency program in their exploratory paper, which forms the basis for the ongoing coalition negotiations.

After its clear electoral defeat, the CDU had made a number of concessions, including on climate protection.
