According to news from the Blue House of the Presidential Office of South Korea, Moon Jae-in said at a state meeting that the dialogue between Korea and North Korea has been deadlocked for a long time, which is regrettable; the "Panmunjom Declaration" is a "milestone of peace" and the promised road to peace cannot be reversed.

Moon Jae-in said that despite the constraints of the external environment and the difficulties in the development of North-South relations, the situation on the peninsula is more stable than ever before, and peace continues.

Moon Jae-in said that to move towards a lasting peace based on the "Panmunjom Declaration", the time for the resumption of dialogue between South Korea and North Korea is approaching.

He said that the South Korean side looks forward to promoting the peace process on the peninsula based on the solid South Korean-US alliance with the US government, and also hopes that South Korea, North Korea, and the United States will resume dialogue.

Regarding the cooperation between South Korea and North Korea, South Korea’s Unification Minister Lee In-young also said on the same day that he is willing to conduct any form of dialogue with the North, and hopes that the North Korea will return to the track of dialogue as soon as possible; South Korea will push for cooperation in the field of sports to break the deadlock in the dialogue between South Korea and North Korea.
