Harzgerode (dpa / sa) - A 58-year-old roofer fell from scaffolding and was seriously injured on Tuesday in Harzgerode (Harz district).
The man had fallen on the twelve-meter-high scaffolding through an open hatch about two meters to a lower level, said the police.
He was flown to an accident clinic with a rescue helicopter with serious injuries.
Together with the West Trade Inspectorate of the State Office for Consumer Protection, the police have started investigations into the accident at work.
