At the meeting, it was agreed to establish a new framework for strengthening the supply chain, based on the lessons learned from the delay in procuring supplies due to the spread of the new coronavirus infection.



Specifically, in addition to supporting the utilization of digital technology by companies, we will support the diversification of production and suppliers by sharing examples of companies that have succeeded in strengthening their supply chains.



In addition, it has been confirmed that ministers from the three countries will meet at least once a year, and will consider cooperation with the Association of Southeast Asian Nations in the future.



Japan wants to build a stable supply system in the Indo-Pacific region, with China in mind, which will increase its presence in this region.
