Söchtenau (dpa / lby) - An 80-year-old driver from Söchtenau near Rosenheim died after a collision at an intersection.
The police announced on Tuesday in Rosenheim.
The man presumably overlooked a car driven by a 30-year-old woman and violated her right of way.
He died according to the information in the Rosenheim Clinic from the consequences of his serious injuries.
His 79-year-old companion was flown to the hospital in a rescue helicopter.
Both had been trapped in the wreckage of their car and had to be freed with heavy rescue equipment.
The 30-year-old woman suffered minor injuries.
