Berlin (dpa / bb) - A woman was slightly injured in a racist attack in the Berlin district of Friedrichshain.

A 43-year-old rioted in a bakery on Warschauer Strasse on Monday morning and insulted the two saleswomen in a xenophobic manner, the police said.

While trying to force the man out of business, a 40-year-old employee reportedly suffered minor hand and head injuries.

An unknown customer was finally able to get the man out of the door before police officers arrested him against considerable resistance in front of the shop.

The 43-year-old was released after a blood sample was drawn.

The State Police Department of the State Criminal Police Office is now investigating insults, bodily harm, property damage and resistance to and physical assault on law enforcement officers.
