When the police arrived, they allegedly hid in a passageway in an attempt to leave the area discreetly.

Sixteen people were fined during the night from Saturday to Sunday for having participated in a clandestine party in a bar in the Beaulieu district in Nantes, reports the national police.

At midnight, three crews from the anti-crime squad arrived at the entrance of Copacabana, a shisha bar located near the Beaulieu shopping center, due to the noticeable presence of customers inside.

The room showed signs of recent occupation.

The participants in the evening, who sought to leave without being detected, all received a fine of 135 euros for not respecting the curfew.

The manager was also fined for illegally carrying out an activity during a health emergency.

He is liable to an administrative sanction decided by the Loire-Atlantique prefecture.
